During our Opening Session, we heard from Mayor Pro Tem Eric Guerra and Councilmember Mai Vang—two local leaders heading Sacramento’s immigration response—who shared their families’ experience as immigrants and refugees in the U.S. Jessie Mabry, Opening Doors’ CEO, and Rev. Dr. Roger Jones, Unitarian Universalist Society of Sacramento, discussed the importance of collaboration across our community to meet this moment.
