Our Impact
In 2023, we walked alongside 3,683 immigrants, refugees, and survivors of trafficking
as they built the lives they deserve. When they thrive, we all thrive.
Everyone deserves to experience stability, self-sufficiency, and belonging.
Opening Doors operates under the guiding principle of our Theory of Change: we believe immigrants, refugees, and survivors of trafficking can only thrive long-term if they are able to gain stable housing, establish financial security, attain overall wellness, and develop strong community connections.
We connect our neighbors with resources, help them navigate complicated systems, and support them in gaining access to education, employment, and healthcare. Their personal journeys are often traumatic in a variety of ways, so we help them find healing through mental health care and counseling. We also work to ensure the services we provide are culturally appropriate and trauma-informed. Understanding and compassion are our guiding principles as we provide practical steps and resources toward fostering stability, self-sufficiency, and belonging.
